About Java and Javascript

Java is a great embedded systems language, and very good for writing portable GUI applications and such. I like Java...just not on web pages.

Javascript, on the other hand, is just silly. The only reason I can see for the existence of Javascript is that it puts more power into the hands of the content provider. That power is stolen from the end user. That's you.

Javascript and Java in web pages break both browser compatibility and handicapped accessibility. Phooey on them.

(Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the Javascript/VBscript generated by Microsoft products has an amazing ability to crash Netscape? Uncanny.)

Disable these leeches in your browser setup, and complain to the content providers. See the web as it was meant to be seen!
