Limitations

• NBT only

  cifs:// is suggested for SMB over native TCP (port 445)

• Provides access to only two services:
  
  
  • the Browser Service
  
  
  • the Server Service

The NBT Name service is not directly accessible using the URL, but it is needed to support URL semantics.
