Amalia's Rowena Stories

Rowena's House in the Country

February, 1999

Once upon a time, there was a little baby named Rowena. And she lived in an old house which was in the country where apples grow. She was all happy 'cause she got to eat a lot of apples. Each day she would pick an apple and bring it to somebody in a basket. So she was very happy and her mama told her she could go across the street if she looked both ways. She was a very good little baby 'cause she knew all the rules, each day. She was a very nice baby and she learned everything all by herself. And that's very good. I like her doing that 'cause then she makes gooder things.

Rowena Story

April, 1999

In a little house, there was a little baby (here comes the fun part) named Rowena. She had two bags of her own, with Haloween candy in them. She has a lot of candy and she only gets one before breakfast and one before dinner. Her candy is so good and so yummy that she likes to eat it. Her parents would give her some each day, but she only had one baby tooth.

There were apple trees around her house, and when she was two she went outside and picked a couple of apples and asked her Mama to get a plastic bag (a big one) (here comes the scary part), and they closed it up with the apples inside and then they heard some real ghosts climbing in the house with Easter eggs which didn't look pretty at all! The ghosts took the apples instead, which were decorated with pretty stuff. That wasn't very nice because Rowena was going to eat the apples the next day (but she was going to take the stickers and pretty stuff off). The names of the ghosts were Zoki, and Diller, and Dops.

Rowena coughed and she coughed and she coughed. She had to go to the bathroom so badly that she ran upstairs as fast as she could.

Chapter 2

The ghosts stayed there until Rowena got on her Tiger costume and then they roared at them and her brother came in from the other side. They made a very long tail by taking another piece of the tail from the front and putting it onto the tail from the back. Then the ghosts thought it was a big tiger which was real. Then she thought that she could keep the eggs and take the not-pretty stuff off. Her parents said "well, maybe everything is stickers and you can take it off". So she did.

Her Papa took the apples from the ghosts and they had the eggs inside the tiger. Rowena kept them in front of her. They went "Rooaoaaahhr" at the ghosts. The ghosts ran away with the eggs instead. Rowena's Papa hid the apples from the ghosts, and the ghosts weren't happy at all! They climbed and hid in Rowena's favorite climbing tree. It was very fun to hide in it, but she had never tried it (her brother had, though)!

Rowena scratched one of the ghosts on the head. She and her brother sat down on the tree with her tiger costume on. They made the tail hook onto the tree so they wouldn't fall. When they wanted to get down their mother was right there to catch them.

Then there was a big thunderstorm and she went inside and hid in her favorite closet. Her brother stayed outside and walked around in the front of the tiger costume and crawled out and put it in the living room, on a hook. The tail had a little thing that hooked on to the end.

Rowena's Food

August, 1999

Once upon a time there lived a little girl named Rowena. She lived with her brother, Winnie the Pooh, and her sister Raggedy Anne. They lived with their mama and their papa and even their honey jars. They never gave honey to Winnie the Pooh because he ate too much honey in one day.

They lived in a country with apples. It was called Pinkie Land. On Halloween they put stickers on apples, and they were eating stikers that were okay to eat, although you had to be careful about the seeds because you can't eat the seeds---eeewww.

Even they had bubblegum. They gave it out to Rowena's friends because Rowena was too little for bubblegum. She said "Eeewww" when she saw bubblegum. Although she did like "apple nuts" (caramel apples with nuts on the outside). The apples were so yummy that Rowena had a tasty apple every day.
